The 3rd UAE Habanos Sommelier Competition took place on the 1^st of February 2010 at the La Casa Del Habano at Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai. After 8 contestants’ participated in 2008 and 6 in 2009, 14 Professionals entered the Final yesterday. A clear indicator for the growing interest in the product and the unique skill set required to this competition, but also for the Cigar Industry in UAE.

Ms. Nerissa M. Orinday, Assistant Bar Manager of The Address Dubai Marina’s Signature Bar “Blends” took home the crown after scoring 91 points out of 100 points possible.

Ms. Nerissa will be participating in the world wide competition that will take place in Havana during the last week of February 2010.
